디즈니 실사판 영화 알라딘(Aladdin, 2019)에서 여주인공이 부르는 OST - Speechless
배우가 직접 이 노래를 불렀을줄은 몰랐는데 Naomi Scott(나오미 스콧)이 직접 부른 것이었구나~ 고음에서 약간 아쉬운 부분이 있긴 하지만 매력있는 음색을 지녔고 노래를 꽤 했다.
영화에서 Naomi Scott(나오미 스콧)도 그렇고 알라딘 역의 Mena Massoud(미나 무사드) 역시 딕션이 참 좋다고 생각했었는데 영화라서가 아니라 평소에도 발성과 발음들이 무척 좋아서 깜짝 놀랐다.
아, 그런데 아쉬운 점. 연회 장면에서 자스민 공주와 알라딘이 춤 추는 장면이 나오는데, 세상에....!! 이건 디즈니가 완전 못했다. 안무가가 누구였는지, 멋진 의상 다 입혀놓고 아랍의 춤이 그것밖에 안나옵니까 ㅠ.ㅜ 인도 발리우드(Bollywood) 영화 보다가 이 영화 보니까 춤 장면이 그냥 어린 아이들 장난 수준. 그런데 인도에서는 어린이들도 춤을 그것보다는 잘 추는데 어쩌지😅 자스민 공주 몸동작도 너무 뻣뻣하고.. 왕궁에서 벌어지는 연회의 춤이라고 하기에는 너무 공을 안들였다😂 그래서 오히려 현실감이 확 떨어졌던 춤 장면.
개인적으로 이 노래는 이렇게 듣는 것보다 영화 전개 중 듣는 것이 훨씬 더 감동적이었다. 가사가 좋다. 오랜 시간 동안 술탄이 되기 위해 공부를 많이 해 온 자스민 공주. 악인 Jafar가 "정치는 책으로 하는 것이 아니다. experienced와 inexperienced는 다르다."며 뼈 있는 한 마디를 던진다. 캬~ 그건 그래. 당시 자스민 공주는 왕궁 근처 동네 지리조차 모르고 있었으니까. 그러나 백성들을 사랑하고 왕국을 살리고싶은 자스민 공주, 이렇게 노래한다.
